Sunderland is set for a cultural awakening, with everyone from graphic artists to independent musicians joining their creative forces to help kick off the bid to become the UK’s City of Culture 2021.
We’ve very busy for the past few weeks assisting both photographers working for the launch event. Today we’ve been helping out on this amazing project with Photographer Kuba. His fantasy photobooth will be in Sunderland town this Friday and Saturday next to the Sunderland empire on the grass. Such good fun for the Sunderland City of Culture launch event. Hope everyone can pop down!
“The North East Photographic Network (NEPN) has also commissioned Julian Germain to exhibit his latest photography project, as well as a pop-up photography studio that will feature futuristic images of Sunderland by polish-born photographer Kuba Ryniewicz’s to excite and involve residents in the city’s 3,6,9 Vision, which sets out how the city will look in in three, six and nine years’ time.”
We’ve also been assisting Julian Germain on his exhibition Newborns which will be shown in the launch event! His work on Newborns will be shown in the Firestation on the 18th of September.
